Description
Where the Roer flows into the Maas lies a beautiful city with a rich past: Roermond. You will encounter some nice sights during your tour. In Beesel you can see the Grauwe beer, a sawmill that originally stood in Zaandam. Three kilometers further you will pass Nieuwenbroek Castle. Near Swalmen you will see a ruined keep, hidden between the trees in the grass on the bank of the meandering Swalm.
