This historic route leads you, as soon as you leave Houffalize, to the historic heart of the"Battle of the Ardennes\\\". You can soak up the history in the deep valleys in the area. However, this region is also known for cycling and Houffalize is the beating heart of mountain biking. Thanks to the RAVeL you can safely and quietly descend to the green lung of the Belgian Ardennes without slopes. You not only cross dense forests with deciduous and coniferous trees, but also wide landscapes with farms. Then you arrive in Bourcy, a cozy village at 500 meters above sea level. From there you continue cycling to reach Bastogne. In Bastogne you can enjoy fun
shops, impressive museums and monuments and of course end with specialties of the region and local wine.
