Description
Imagine five boat lifts, a revolving bridge, a 500 meter canal bridge and a lock gate. You will discover all this during this cycling route of barely 20 kilometers. On this route you will experience technical gadgets on and around the water and enjoy the Walloon landscape. You will discover the large lift of Strépy-Thieu and cycle along the Center Canal. You then cycle in the direction of three other lifts, the first of which was inaugurated in 1888. In Houdeng-Aimeries you will discover an impressive swing bridge and in La Louvière de
famous Italian Canteen, built in 1947. As icing on the cake, you cross the imposing 500m long canal bridge of Sart to end up at the large funicular of Strépy-Thieu. What an experience!
