Description
Various remains of earthen walls have been found in and around Knegsel. Certain characteristics of the Knegsel shore systems are unique. There was a long embankment surrounding the village and fields. This rampart was higher and wider than other ramparts found. It is assumed that this long wall was a separation between private property and the surrounding manorial property,"het Gemeijnt\\\\". Along the way you will come across a plaque.
Remarkable: there are a number of burial mounds and urn fields in a ring around Knegsel.
