Description
On this route you will discover the beautiful area just south of the lowest point of Limburg. You will drive through the Preuswald near the Three-Country Point at an altitude of more than 300 meters and other forests in the Three-Country Region. This area is perfect for a hilly bike ride.
Views from the Boudewijntoren
At Gemmenich you can see the Boudewijntoren rising majestically above the landscape. Pay a visit to this tower and let the glass elevator take you to the panorama room. From here you have a breathtaking view of Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Another beautiful sight on this route is Kasteel Baelen east of Henri-Chapelle. The castle is separated from the road by a gatehouse from the time of Louis XIV. The cruciform roof of the castle is decorated with peaks representing the sun and moon. Be sure to take some time to admire this castle and the nearby Ruyff Castle. Kasteel Ruyff had a lesser function than Kasteel Baelen, but this castle is still a lot more beautiful.
Moresnet
Other castles in this area are Obsinnich Castle and Beusdael Castle. You will also cycle through the village of Moresnet. In the village center are houses built with quarry stones from the region.

A well-known monument is also the hamlet'Eiksken\\\' where thousands of pilgrims worship Mary. Next to it you will find a park with the famous Stations of the Cross and many types of trees and flowers, but the village is best known for the longest (1,300 m) and highest (68 m) railway viaduct in Belgium. The Moresnet viaduct consists of 22 steel bridge sections, resting on two abutments, five supporting piers and sixteen ordinary reinforced concrete piers.
