This walking route starts at Park Berkenrhode, where you can drink a cup of coffee at Le Grand Café before putting on your walking shoes. You take a nice walk along the Koelbergen to the Wekeromse Zand, one of the last places in Europe where you can still find actively drifting sand. It is a historic area: at the Vijfsprong, where you pass, you will see P02 - Celtic Fields, reconstructions of ancient fields of 40 by 40 meters. You'll also find a recreated Iron Age farm and storehouse or spiker. A viewing platform offers a beautiful view of the entire complex. You then walk back down through nature. What a peace, it's like going back in time for centuries!
