Description
This walking route starts at Park Berkenrhode. You take a nice walk along the Koelbergen to the Wekeromse Zand, one of the last places in Europe where you will still find active drifting sand. It is a historic area: at the Vijfsprong, where you pass, you see P02 - Celtic Fields, reconstructions of ancient fields of 40 by 40 meters. You will also find a recreated Iron Age farm and storage shed or spieker. A viewing platform offers a beautiful view of the entire complex. You then walk straight through nature back to square one. What a peace, it's like going back in time centuries!
