Description

This walking route starts at Park Berkenrhode. You take a beautiful walk along the Koelbergen to the Wekeromse Zand, one of the last places in Europe where you can still find actively drifting sand. It is a historic area: at the Vijfsprong, where you pass, you will see P02 - Celtic Fields, reconstructions of centuries-old fields measuring 40 by 40 meters. You will also find a recreated farm and storehouse or warehouse from the Iron Age. A viewing platform offers a beautiful view of the entire complex. You then walk straight through nature back to square one. What a tranquility, it's as if you're going back centuries in time here!
