Cycling through the peaceful Maasduinen

Dunes are not only along the coast. Let yourself be surprised and cycle through the Limburg dunes in National Park De Maasduinen. Here you will see, among other things, the ruins of the Schanstoren, a fifteenth-century remnant of the former fortifications of Arcen. Arcen Castle is a country house whose origins lie in the twelfth century. From Arcen you cycle onto the river dunes that lie on the right side of the Maas bank. You cycle many kilometres through nature here. What a wonderful area! The largest part of those forests, heathlands and fens belong to De Maasduinen.
