Schouwen-Duiveland is a wonderful island for cycling. You really get a holiday feeling from the tranquility, the woods and of course: the sea. During this route you will pass Burgh-Haamstede, Haamstede, Renesse and Serooskerke. The surrounding villages and polders form the green hinterland of the island. The battle against water can be found in many places in the landscape and on the buildings. Areas that have been flooded have now become attractive natural areas and on some houses you can see how high the water has once reached. Halfway through you will pass Brasserie Eb & Vloed to rest and enjoy a cup of coffee or a tasty lunch. Enjoy the sun on the terrace before setting off to complete the route.
