Ruurlo, Borculo and Marienvelde

Ruurlo once consisted of a vast bushy swamp area, in which several houses were built in an open space. The area has manufacturing industries, but also a lot of agriculture and livestock farming. You can park your car for free in the parking lot of restaurant De Luifel in Ruurlo. The Agneta mill is a stone's throw away. Then you start looking for your way through the woods. You smell the scent of nature and can catch your breath at De Heikamp after almost 43 kilometers. The location, a monumental farmhouse with French windows, is beautiful and atmospheric. Upon returning to Ruurlo, a visit to the Ruurlo castle and estate is on the program. If you have not eaten before, you can sit down at De Luifel for dinner in a quiet, hospitable environment.
