From Landwinkel and Camping Waterbuffelfarm you can take a nice bike ride through the Kop van Overijssel. First you cycle through the Weerribben: the nature reserve known for its reedlands, rugged grasslands and swamp forests. You pass the Wicher, a spider head mill from 1982. You also pass through the picturesque Dwarsgracht. A little further on you cross the water from Jonen with a ferry. At the harbor of Blokzijl you can admire beautiful historic buildings. Then you drive back into the Weerribben. You drive through Kalenberg, the village known for its reed cultivation. Kalenberg reed is still a popular building material for covering roofs. Finally, on the edge of the Weerribben you drive through Ossenzijl and Oldemarkt. What a beautiful trip!

Landwinkel and Camping Waterbuffelfarm is located on the edge of Overijssel, Drenthe and Friesland. The small-scale SVR campsite opened in the spring of 2020 and can accommodate guests aged 18 and over. There is a beautiful and modern sanitary building. There is also a country shop on site. Here you have a large choice of (local) regional products from the farm. The range consists of various types of (free-range) meat, dairy, juices, cheese, fruit, vegetables and other delicacies. About 95 water buffalo are kept on the farm. You are invited to see how well the buffalo are cared for on the farm.

Molen de Wicher is a spider head from 1982. Spider heads are small windmills that are rare and that fact alone makes this windmill worth a visit.
