From the parking bays in Kudelstaart you immediately enjoy the view over the Westeinderplassen. Then you leave for Aalsmeer, world famous thanks to the lively flower trade that developed in and around the town. On and around 'de Poel', as the people of Aalsmeer call the Westeinderplassen, there is plenty of recreation and there are about 50 marinas along the banks. Yet the pike, eel and the rare European catfish swim here. Further north you drive through the Amsterdamse Bos, also a combination of recreation and nature reserve. It was built in the 1930s. The small newt, the grass snake and the carnivorous sundew are found in the park. Take a break in ParkCafé - Memorial Park Westgaarde. You drive back via Amstelveen and the Amstel.

The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were not only used to produce flour from cereals, but also for draining polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, which have truly been set up as a polder model. A must see!
