Park the car in the parking lot on Rockaertsduinweg in Overveen where you will find junction 36 700 m away. The tour starts along beautiful nature reserves that are lined with capital villas and country estates. Take Buitenplaats Leyduin, for example, once used as a summer residence by prominent families. In addition to historic buildings, you will find a former racecourse and the landscaped cascade is very special. You cycle through this wonderful area to Noordwijk, where you will be welcomed by endless bulb fields long before you arrive. Breathe in the salty air while your hair dances in the wind. The return journey passes the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes, an area of 3,400 hectares through which fifty million cubic meters of drinking water flows every year. The area has the largest fallow deer population in the Netherlands per hectare; that amounts to approximately 2000 fallow deer in total!
