Description
Get on your bike and get ready for a castle route from Boekel. The starting point of this cycle route is De Mouthoeve. The first castle you encounter is in Beek en Donk: Eijckenlust Castle. The oldest surviving part is the gatehouse, which dates from 1500. Then you continue the route towards Sint-Oedenrode. Further on you will pass the place where Ten Houte stood until the nineteenth century: a castle of which only the farms remain. You cycle back to Boekel via the south of Veghel in Brabant. Once back at De Mouthoeve you can talk about the route and enjoy a tasty snack and drink in the meantime. A nice cycling route through nature and past historical places!
