In Sint-Michielsgestel, in a meander of the Dommel, you will find Groot Ruwenberg castle. The institution was founded in the fourteenth century and is not only inhabited by noble families, but also once served as a boarding school run by brothers. As you cycle from village to village, you come to De Wamberg. This wooded estate has approximately 180 hectares and includes a castle, farms, a coach house with gate and a gardener's house. In the sixteenth century, a mansion was built on the estate, which can be seen in the current castle. You will see some beautiful, very old trees. The numerous ponds on the site are interconnected. Take a break at Eetcafe De Prins on the edge of the estate!

Eetcafe de Prins has been the nicest eatery in Berlicum for years. The building is located on the Hoogstraat and is clearly recognizable by the cozy terrace and the characteristic appearance. You can visit the cafe, the restaurant or outside on the terrace 7 days a week. The kitchen is open every day from 12 noon to 9.30 pm. The cafe has a living room atmosphere and you can enjoy an informal drink with delicious snacks from the drinks menu. A nice place to start your walk or cycle route through Berlicum!
Sights
Kasteel Heeswijk
The cellars and some vertical wall work date from the end of the 14th or the beginning of the 15th century. After restoration, the castle has been converted into a museum that you can visit.
Kasteel De Wamberg
The Huys de Wamberg is a sixteenth century moated castle, which is beautifully situated as a centerpiece in the park-like forest of the estate "De Wamberg".
