Tour of Mierlo, Lierop and Lieropse Heide

Your route starts at Boutique Hotel Four. Three of the four centers that make up the city of Helmond are former villages (Mierlo-Hout, Brouwhuis and Stiphout). They have each managed to maintain their own appearance and atmosphere. You can enjoy nature on the Lieropse Heide. Small forests, drifting sand, grazing sheep, but also typical flora and fauna and the largest fen in the Netherlands can be found on the Strabrechtse Heide, of which the Lieropse Heide is part. This well-known nature reserve in southeast Brabant covers more than 1,500 hectares. This makes the Strabrechtse Heide one of the largest heathland areas in the Netherlands. In the heart of the Strabrechtse Heide lies the open drifting sand area of the Galgenberg, with typical vegetation including spurrie, sheep grass and bunt.
