Plenty of nature and culture around Helmond

You can loosen up your legs in the old cultural landscape around Nuenen. Cycle along the meadows, farms and fields on car-free roads: a wonderful way to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. You can then cycle for miles along the leafy Wilhelmina Canal. In the hamlet of Croy you will see several old farms and an impressive fifteenth-century castle. In Aarle-Rixtel you can visit the Heemkamer Barthold van Heessel. Just above Mierlo you will pass the Ellenaar, a corn mill from 1851. Around Helmond you will cycle through several beautiful nature reserves, such as the Grotelse Bos and the Groot Goor. The Roosdonck mill dates from 1884. This building was drawn by Van Gogh no less than seven times.
