Plenty of nature and culture around Helmond

Your route starts at Restaurant De 3 Gebroeders in Gerwen, with the fifteenth-century St. Clemens Church. You can get your feet wet in the old cultural landscape around Nuenen. Cycling on car-free roads past meadows, farms and fields: a wonderful way to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. You can then travel for miles along the leafy Wilhelmina Canal. In the hamlet of Croy you will see some old farms and an impressive fifteenth-century castle. In Aarle-Rixtel you can visit the Heemkamer Barthold van Heessel. Just above Mierlo you pass the Ellenaar, a flour mill from 1851. Around Helmond you drive through some beautiful nature reserves, such as the Grotelse Bos and the Groot Goor.
