Small heathlands, beautiful forests and grassy meadows... the Brabant landscape around Boxtel has a lot to offer. The Elderbroek and the Geelders are some of the areas that are part of the Groene Woud National Landscape.
The Wamberg
This cycling route starts at Boutique Hotel De Blauwe Pauw, where you stay in a colonial city villa from 1899, but with the comfort of today. You soon leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind you and cycle to De Wamberg. This wooded estate has approximately 180 hectares, on which you can see a castle, farms, a coach house and a gardener's house. Remains of the sixteenth-century mansion can still be found in the current castle.
\\\'s-Hertogenbosch
In the rural village of Schijndel there is a flour mill, Catharina, built in 1836. The next mill you will encounter during your tour is in Sint-Michielsgestel. Genenberg Mill is a round stone mill that was built in 1891. You are getting closer to the capital of North Brabant: 's-Hertogenbosch. The city is full of cultural history, so you can learn more about contemporary visual art and design at the Stedelijk Museum's-Hertogenbosch.
