Description
This route is a varied cycle tour around the old sailing village of Watergang in Laag Holland. You will pass the special Ilperveld nature reserve where hundreds of islands, ditches, ponds, reed beds and meadows grazed by cows and sheep give you the feeling of going back in time. In Monnickendam you can visit Museum De Speeltoren. Here you will learn everything about the history and changes of the Waterland landscape. Take your bike on the ferry to Marken and see with your own eyes what makes this island so special. Marken is a tourist attraction, especially because of its characteristic houses and traditional costumes. In Landsmeer you drink a cup of coffee at Café de Driesprong before returning home.
