There are some beautiful nature reserves around Gilze. This route takes you through the woods between Tilburg and Breda, among other things. You will also pass through the picturesque village of Molenschot.
The Prinsenbos
You will find a special atmosphere around the St. Anne's Church from 1887 thanks to monuments such as the rectory from 1879 and a few farms. Then you cycle through the woods to Rijen. Scots pine trees that were planted in the early nineteenth century mainly grow here. It's quiet cycling here, a great way to loosen up your legs!
Bels Lijntje
You drive a bit through the Blaak, a forest on the edge of Tilburg. Then you drive over the Bels Lijntje: a former railway line that leads you through forest and past meadows. You drive through a number of pleasant Brabant hamlets, after which you drive through the vast Prinsenbos. In Molenschot you can still see the Sint-Anna chapel. The current building dates from 1842, but had a predecessor that was built in 1549.
