A day full of history and nature around Abcoude

This route takes you through the polders between Abcoude, Weesp and Loenersloot. Here you will find plenty of polder beauty, windmills and beautiful old buildings. After you have ridden your legs along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, you will first arrive in Nigtevecht, a picturesque village. Along the Vecht you will see many villas, but also old mills, such as the Garstenmolen: a polder mill from 1876. On the other side of the canal you pass through Loenersloot. Here you can take a look at the thirteenth-century Loenersloot Castle. The road then winds past meadows and characteristic farms and through charming Baambrugge to Abcoude. In this beautiful town you can have a delicious lunch with a good coffee at Ollie\\\'S Coffee And More. You cycle along the Gein through a characteristic Dutch landscape. To enjoy!
