You can enjoy cycling in the Groene Hart: it is an area of tranquility in the busy Randstad. During this cycle route you will pass Gouda, which looks like a large open-air museum, and Reeuwwijk. You cycle along angular bends straight through the Reeuwijkse plassen. Enjoy the typical Dutch landscape that passes by you. Don't cycle too fast, but do everything at your leisure - this way you can really downshift. Get off at the Beijersche barn, shop & tearoom! Oudewater obtained city rights in 1265, making it the oldest city in the Green Heart. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, Oudewater was an important producer of rope for which a lot of hemp was grown. Nice to have a look around, stick around here and sample the atmosphere!

Anyone who enters the Beijersche Schuur in Stolwijk will not be able to get tired of it and eat it quickly. Nature management is of paramount importance here, they sell dairy with added value here on the farm. Take a look at the farm shop for delicious cheeses, homemade jams, eggs and other regional products. This is also a resting point, there is a coffee/tea machine ready for you to serve yourself. A nice place near Gouda to start your route or take a break!

This polder mill dates from the seventeenth century. The mill drains the polder Oukoop and Negenviertel on a voluntary basis. The excess water is discharged into the Single Wiericke.
