Tour of Geldrop, Heeze and Strabrechtse Heide

Your route starts at Boutique Hotel Four. Small forests, drifting sand, grazing sheep, but also typical flora and fauna and the largest fen in the Netherlands can be found on the Strabrechtse Heide. This well-known nature reserve in southeast Brabant covers more than 1,500 hectares. This makes the Strabrechtse Heide one of the largest heathland areas in the Netherlands. You will find many fens on the heath and the Galgenberg is located in the heart of the extensive heath area; an open drifting sand area. Also take a look at Heeze Castle, in the village of the same name. It consists of two parts: the medieval Eymerick Castle and a newer castle from the seventeenth century. The location in nature is beautiful and the eighteenth-century furnishings have remained virtually intact, despite the fact that the castle is inhabited.
