Elspeet and Veluwe Bicycle Route

Your route starts with a delicious lunch at the atmospheric Hotel & Inn Herberg De Zwaan Elspeet. From here, you ride almost immediately into the woods, where you enjoy the fresh air of the coniferous and deciduous trees. You will have no trouble shifting down a gear here. A little past Uddel, you discover the splendor of the Houtdorperveld, one of the largest heathlands in the Netherlands. You enjoy magnificent panoramas as you ride along the route of the old church path between Speuld and Uddel. Speuld is a small agricultural enclave on the Veluwe. You will see characteristic old farmhouses, fields, and meadows there. Next, you cycle through the Leuvenumse Bos with its many old deciduous trees. Finally, you ride back to Elspeet across the Elspeetse Heide.
