Between Budel and Weert it is wonderfully quiet cycling in a natural landscape. You drive through the Weerterbos, but also through the historic Budel-Dorplein. From your starting point you drive through the Weerter and Budelerbergen into the Weerterbos. This is one of the few truly ancient forests in the area. This nature reserve consists of a beautiful mix of moist and dry forests, grassland plots and small heathlands. There are even red deer. Stop for a cup of coffee at Huyskamer Daatjeshoeve or Restaurant-brasserie De Coockpit. A little further on you will come across the Janzona, a flour mill from 1937, in the rural area. On your way back you cycle through Budel-Dorplein. A zinc factory was built here in the middle of the Loozerheide in 1892 with houses and facilities for the workers. The area is a protected villagescape, the buildings are located among coniferous forests.

Restaurant-brasserie De Coockpit is located near the runways of Kempen Airport. A nice place for a pleasant stopover or as a base for a trip through the wooded area. With Weert, there is also a pleasant town within cycling range. At De Coockpit you can be surprised by the tastiest dishes: they are French-oriented and prepared with fresh and seasonal products. You can sit down in the brasserie for a quicker bite or a cup of coffee. The terrace is located at the airport. You've probably never eaten so close to an airplane before.

Huyskamer Daatjeshoeve is located on the edge of the Weerterbos, close to the greenest city in the world: Weert. An ideal base for beautiful cycling and walking tours through the natural surroundings. The cozy Weert is also within cycling range. After a day in the open air, it is wonderful to relax at the Daatjeshoeve. In this restored farmhouse from 1941 you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee with pie, a delicious lunch or a special beer at your leisure. On sunny days you can relax on the terrace. The Daatjeshoeve has a permanent exhibition of aircraft parts and wreckage.

It is an octagonal wooden belt mill that is decorated as a flour mill. Janzona means: 'son of Janssen'. This mill was built in 1937 to replace a mill that burned down in that year and after a thorough restoration in 1980 the mill is fully operational again.
