Cycling between Tubbergen and Almelo

You cycle your legs loose along the leafy banks of the Almelo-Nordhorn Canal that was dug at the end of the nineteenth century. You make a turn through the coulisse landscape, after which you cycle over the Gravenallee just outside Almelo. If you feel like it, you can drive a little further up this driveway and take a look at Huize Almelo from 1652. Further on you pass B&B Sagenland/De Huiskamer van Sagenland. At the weekend you are welcome here for a coffee with homemade cake. You cycle through the forest of the Schultenwolde nature reserve, a little later you cycle through the charming Tubbergen. Just after junction 44 you pass an old Kroezeboom. The Herinckhave estate is also a beautiful spot. Here you see a manor house from 1742 and an old water mill.
