This route takes you through the most famous nature reserve in the Netherlands: De Veluwe. This beautiful national park consists of extensive forests, rolling moors and shifting sand areas, spread over approximately 1000 square kilometers.
Varied flora and fauna
The varied nature in the Hoge Veluwe ensures that many different animals and plants occur here. Wild boars live in this area and you will also find deer and otters. You can spot ravens in the trees and on the heaths and the rare black grouse can also be found there. In short, there is plenty to see and experience on this route. The starting point of the route is in Otterlo and from here you make a tour through part of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. In Otterlo you will find VVV Otterlo, where you can get more information about the area and special sights.

A bit outside of Otterlo you cycle past Wijnhoeve De Veluwe. This organic vineyard was started in 2003 with the planting of 500 vines. Today the vineyard is one and a half hectares in size. Both white and red wine are made here from the Regent, Salome, Rondo, Seyval-Blanc, Johanniter and Solares grape varieties. Take a look at this vineyard and imagine yourself in a foreign atmosphere.

Farm Mossel consists of an idyllic tearoom and a beautifully situated group accommodation for up to 28 people. You can relax here in the middle of nature. The beautiful terrace is a favorite attraction for the many cyclists who are ready for a delicious cup of coffee with apple pie, a sandwich or perhaps a nice cool beer during their strenuous bike rides. In bad weather you can also sit comfortably in the attractive sheepfold. The tearoom is open daily from May to September, in April and October the tearoom is only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
