Cycling tour through the Oisterwijk forests

Your route starts at Boshuis Venkraai. Berkel-Enschot is a combination of the old Dutch words'Berkeloo\\\' and'Ende Skied\\\', which mean'Birch forest\\\' and'End border\\\'. Mysterious fens are hidden in the lush, wild nature of the Oisterwijk forests. Here in the heart of the forests you have the feeling of being far away from civilization. Peat used to be cut here. Now it is a magnet for dragonflies, water birds and photographers. The Kampinase Heide is over 1200 hectares in size and the Oisterwijk forests blend seamlessly into it. Hidden between old trees and hedgerows, a stately avenue of oaks leads to Nemerlaer Castle, a beautiful spot.
