Description

During this route you can get a breath of fresh air on the water around Doornenburg and Millingen aan de Rijn. You will also experience a bit of Germany during this bike tour. You start in Gendt, Gelderland, at Waalstrand Camping, which is located in the middle of the Gelderse Poort nature reserve. An oasis of smells and sounds, because many plants and birds return to this vast area. Along the way you will pass all kinds of historical sights. You cycle past Doornenburg Castle, which has the largest outer castle in the Netherlands. The farm within the walls is also unique in our country. In Groesbeek you will pass the Roman Patrol Ship, a replica, built in a traditional manner, which you can view at the shipyard. You cycle back to Gendt via the Millingerwaard nature reserve.
