On Van Berkenrode's map you can see that the artillery was stationed on the heath south of the Core mule (the corn mill). That was then (1639) a wooden post mill, owned by the Lords of Ravenstein. In 1831 the mill burned down due to a lightning strike. In 1832 a new mill was built. In the 1950s, it received its current name, De Hellemolen. Named after the then owner Van Helmond, who owns a café. in the mill. The mill has been completely restored and the blades are turning again. You can admire the outside.
