Pee mill
You first drive to L9 of the Liberation Route to learn more about Operation Market Garden. You drive along the wooded Sint-Jansberg to Plasmolen. Here you will see the Bovenste Plasmolen, a water mill from 1725. You will also pass the place where the remains of a Roman villa were discovered in 1931. The foundations have been partly rebuilt.
Roman
Cycling along the Maas is wonderful. In the eighteenth century, fishermen complained that their nets got stuck here on objects at the bottom of the Meuse: this turned out to be a Roman bridge. Amateur divers only managed to recover some remains of the bridge at point R15 in 1989. Further on you have a beautiful view of the St. Martin's Church in Cuijk. Finally, you pass Jachtslot De Mookerheide in the woods.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
