Cycling in the Gelderse Poort nature reserve

The starting point of this route is Waalstrand Camping in Gendt in Gelderland. A wonderful place to stay and enjoy the panoramic view and the boats and ships that pass by. Waalstrand Camping is located in the middle of the Gelderse Poort, where nature can take its course undisturbed. You can enjoy the wide view along the way. During this route you will use various ferries, an enrichment of the route! Fun fact: the ferries are very important for the infrastructure of this area. Before the pontoons were there, the help of a fisherman always had to be called in. On the way you will pass De Kinkelenburg Castle in Bemmel, which can be visited during the day. You cycle via Doornenburg, Pannerden and Millingen aan de Rijn via the Millingerwaard nature development area back to Gendt.
