From Restaurant Studlers you can take a varied bike ride through the North Holland polders. First you drive to Schoorl. Here you will see two beautiful monumental buildings on the Duinweg: the Reformed Church from 1783 and the Raadhuis from 1601. Between nodes 44 and 41 you drive over the ancient West Frisian Omringdijk. In Oudkarspel you pass some special buildings, such as the Allemanskerk, the oldest parts of which date from the eleventh century. The Regthuis is a museum housed in the former town hall from 1744. A little further on you drive through the so-called'Rijk der Duizend Eilanden\\\'. This unique landscape layout is the result of an outbreak of swine fever in the thirteenth century. The farmers quarantined their cattle on separate islands. You cycle back to Bergen past the recreation area of Geestmerambacht.
