Reusel-De Mierden, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Cycling route: 115674
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at De Oude Brandtoren. In the past, heathland, oak forests, fens and peat areas stretched out on the sandy soil of De Kempen. After 1960, this landscape changed into smaller-scale pieces of heathland with marshes, dunes and pine trees. The many farms and the extensive fields and meadows that go with them are characteristic of this region. As a result, you have a wide view around Reusel. In Reusel, you can visit Museum De Bewogen Jaren if you are interested in the Dutch East Indies and the Second World War. You will find all kinds of utensils from this period here. The Cartierheide is home to special reptiles such as the viviparous lizard and the smooth snake. The Dalems Stroompje flows over the heath and there are many wet areas.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
