Through the land of the Eight Beatitudes

In the past, heath plants, oak forests, fens and peat areas stretched out on the sandy soil of De Kempen. After 1960, this landscape changed into smaller-scale pieces of heathland with swamps, ditches and pine trees. The high concentration of agricultural holdings and the extensive fields and meadows that accompany them are characteristic of this region. This gives you a wide view around Reusel.

Brabant conviviality
The Brabant village of Reusel is located in the middle of this nature reserve. The village atmosphere within the built-up area is a good addition to the tranquility that prevails in the Kempen. Feel free to take a break here and enjoy a terrace in the center of the village. The start and end point of this cycle route is at Taverne D\\\'n Ouwe Brandtoren. In 1933, a house was built in the woods between Reusel and Postel for the foreman of the municipality who was involved in afforestation of the heath.

In Reusel you can visit Museum De Bewogen Jaren. This is especially recommended if you are interested in the Second World War and the Dutch East Indies. Here you will find all kinds of utensils from military history and civilian history from this period. Think of items from internment camps and old military uniforms.
