Your cycling route starts with a cup of coffee at Restaurant Lekkerr Steensel. The nature of North Brabant is not inferior to the splendor of larger nature reserves such as De Veluwe. Valkenhorst, the Galgenberg, the Leenderbos and the Malpie are varied landscapes, covered with conifers, sand drifts, fens, but also deciduous forests. In Leende is the Sint Janskapel, which was first mentioned in 1440 in historical documents. Later the chapel fell into disrepair and was demolished. Around 1843 a new St. John's chapel was built. A few hundred meters from the chapel you will see another historic building: the Heimolen. The original post mill from 1754 was built on a drift sand hill. In 1940 a severe storm destroyed the mill, which would not be rebuilt until the 21st century.
