Description

Your cycling route starts with a cup of coffee at Voor Anker, at Landgoed Wellenseind. Because this estate was closed until spring 2019, there is still a lot to discover. All the characteristic landscapes of the Kempen come together on 130 hectares. You can taste the region in the fresh snacks and small dishes. In Diessen you cycle past War Memorial Diessen. You also pass the small villages of Haghorst and Biest-Houtakker, which are often no larger than a few streets. A bit further you will see Abbey Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeve. In 1880 Abbot Dominicus Lacaes converted the sheepfold that stood on this site into a monastery. The famous Trappist beer is brewed in this monastery. You cycle back via the Oisterwijkse Bossen en Vennen and the Neterselse Heide.
