Neterselse Heide and Burgerwal

The soft birch grows slowly here on an acidic, nutrient-poor soil. The trees are relatively not high, they do not grow taller than 5 to 10 meters. Heather, gale, peat moss and humpback moss grow between the trees. The hen harrier, wood lark and stonechat whistle their song in the trees.
