Stippelberg meets Deurne

Relax on the Stippelberg, a nature reserve that is as large as 2000 football fields. Forest, heathland and stately avenues alternate. You start the cycle route at Restaurant Het Dinghuis in Deurne. A cozy restaurant where you can eat and drink something before you set off. From Deurne you cycle to Akel and from there you leave for the Stippelberg. Until the beginning of the nineteenth century, the Stippelberg was still a dry heathland, but between 1895 and 1935 various trees were planted. Various sand drifts and old drifting dunes lie like dots in the landscape, in which peace and space prevail.
