Description
The Stippelberg is an area of more than 2000 feet, consisting of forests, heaths, stately avenues and sand drifts. From Beek en Donk - you leave from Pannenkoekenhuis Pluk - you cycle in the direction of Gemert. Gemert Castle is still standing proudly. Get off and take a look. From Handel you cycle straight to the Stippelberg. The old shifting dunes in the west of the area are dotted in the landscape, from which the Stippelberg owes its name. Before 1893 the area consisted mainly of heathland, but between 1893 and 1935 Douglas fir and Japanese larch were planted. You end the bike tour at Pannenkoekenhuis Pluk, where you can enjoy a delicious pancake.
