Description
This route introduces you to the green side of Eindhoven. You will cycle for a long time in the Dommel river valley. You will soon see the Genneper Watermolen, a beautiful building that originally dates from the sixteenth century. The route takes you further through the old centre of Eindhoven. From the eastern edge of the city you will soon have a beautiful view over the grasslands and marsh forests along the Dommel. You will cross the Wilhelmina Canal, after which you can enjoy a nice meal at Hotel & Restaurant La Sonnerie in Son. Then you will cycle back into the Dommel valley and pass three more centuries-old mills. In Geldrop you will pass Geldrop Castle, after which you will cycle back to your starting point via the Groote Heide and Aalst.
