During this route you will become acquainted with the historic city center of Breda, but you will also cycle through the varied nature reserves surrounding Breda. You start in Strijbeek at De Smokkelaar Bourgondisch Maaken, a café that is ideally suited to rest after your bike ride and enjoy a snack and a drink. Cycle through the green surroundings and enjoy the peace and quiet around you. Then you cycle through the bustling city center of Breda. You pass the Royal Military Academy on Kasteelplein and a little later you pass the Beguinage Chapel. You continue cycling through the city and can enjoy the original buildings, cozy streets and lovely alleys. Then you cycle back through the green outdoor area to Strijbeek.

De Smokkelaar Burgundisch Genoen is an excellent location for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and other recreationists to have a drink and/or eat. The large terrace is the perfect place to start a day outdoors with a nice cup of coffee. In winter you can warm up here by the cozy fireplace. The play equipment and animal enclosure make this a fun place for all ages. Excellent parking facilities! Cycle along the Mark to Breda or walk across the Strijbeek heath. Have fun!
