Along the Maasplassen are all kinds of authentic villages such as Thorn with its unique white houses. This route takes you from Thorn through other places full of sights. A must for history lovers. First you cycle to Neeritter, a characteristic and atmospheric church village. Nearby you will discover the Uffelse Molen, a centuries-old water mill. Stop for a break at Brasserie't Blaakven! In Weert you will pass the Kasteelpark. Along old chapels you cycle back to the picturesque Thorn. This town has a historic center with white houses and many authentic buildings from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century. The city was the capital of a miniature principality for over 800 years. You can learn more about this special place at Gemeentemuseum Het Land van Thorn, worth a visit.
