Croy Castle, Helmond Castle and Strabrechtse Heide

Your route starts at Lunchcafé & Patisserie Beyond. You will soon pass the Roosdonck mill on the edge of the village of Nuenen. The mill is still used for grinding grain. You may also recognize the mill from the many works of Vincent van Gogh. Then you pass through Croy, a hamlet where you can admire old farms and an imposing castle from the fifteenth century. Also stop at Helmond Castle, where the Municipal Museum is located in the medieval castle. In addition to city history, old and contemporary art are highlighted. You also cycle through beautiful, quiet nature reserves such as the Strabrechtse Heide, a vast heathland plain with some beautiful fens. You might even encounter the shepherd with his flock of Kempen Heath sheep!
