Description
Northeast Groningen has a lot to offer cyclists: a vast polder landscape, long straight waterways, meadows and picturesque towns. But don't forget the mounds either. Just like in Friesland, many farms, churches and entire villages were built on elevations in Groningen in the past. Plenty to see in this sparsely populated and special area. The route is easy to follow from Hotel Ekamper, the northernmost hotel on the mainland. This attractive hotel has a brown café and a restaurant where you can enjoy both a simple meal and a luxurious dinner.
