Cycling through the countryside of Maastricht

Come enjoy the nature and culture east of Maastricht for a day. First you drive to Meerssen. Here you cycle past the centuries-old Proosdij Park, which is decorated in English landscape style. You can also see the basilica here, which originally dates from the fourteenth century. Further on you drive a bit through the Geuldal to Sint Gerlach. Here you can take a look at the famous castle, before driving through the Ingendael: a nature reserve with flower-rich grasslands through which the Geul meanders. From Valkenburg you drive between rolling fields, fruit orchards and sloped forests to Sint Antoniusbank, an attractive old village.
