The Meuse Route

This cycle tour takes you along the banks of the Maas. From Restaurant Clemens you leave in a northerly direction. After you have left Oss behind you, you cycle through plots and meadows until the banks of the Maas come into view. At Oijen you cross the river with the ferry to Nieuwe Schans. Here you follow the Maas in an easterly direction for about twenty kilometers. You pass through beautiful villages and old mills. The sheep graze on the dike, it doesn't get more Dutch than that. Batenburg Castle is a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs. After this you cross the Maas again with the ferry. After 55 kilometers you arrive at your starting point. End your day with a delicious dinner or a drink!
