Lingeroute

The route starts at Fiets- en Voetveer Carolinge. At this ferry you will also find a tea shop with a small menu and a terrace where you can sit down for something tasty. You drive through the vast polders to the picturesque heart of Leerdam. KunstFort Asperen is an imposing historical monument on the Linge. In Acquoy you drive past a fifteenth-century church tower that is slightly out of plumb. After the picturesque Beesd you will be presented with the Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt with its many monumental buildings. Wow! Enjoy something tasty at Eetcafé Uw Chef Tricht, after which you cross the Linge at Geldermalsen. From the dike you can enjoy the view of the babbling river for many kilometers. You pass through some beautiful pictures, you also pass Noordenhoek Estate and De Vlinder mill.
