Your route starts at Bergzicht Camping and Chalet Park. Dalfsen was already mentioned in 1231. Rechteren Castle is located just across the Vecht and was built in the year 1320. It has been inhabited by the same family for six centuries. Like many places on the Overijsselse Vecht, Dalfsen has an abundance of beautiful old buildings: you will find no fewer than 72 national monuments. The cycle route runs along the forests on the south side of the Vecht to Vlisteren, the river landscape is now interspersed with forests and meadows. At junction 82, on the Heinoseweg, you will find the idyllic manor of Den Berg. A manor (havezathe or havesate) is a fortified house, castle or farm. In the 17th century, the manor was a knightly asset: a condition for knighthood.
