Tour of Peelsche and Kroonvense Heide

Your route starts at Landschapscamping Domein THUYSGROND. A large part of the route takes you through Boswachterij De Kempen, near the border with Belgium. The route leads you through endless forests dominated by conifers. The route runs through the Panberg near Eersel and through the Witrijt forest area. You will also discover the De Goorloop nature reserve. Many special animals are found here. Peat formation has taken place in the Goorloop stream valley from the Ice Age until today. The relief in the ground here was created by braiding rivers. You cycle straight through nature to De Grote Cirkel on the Peelsche Heide near Reusel, a useful orientation point for pilots in the Second World War. You also cycle right along the Neerven, the largest fen in the Kroonvense Heide.
