Terrace route along country estates on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug

First, a cup of coffee or a nice juice at SPOTT Eten & Drinken in Doorn and then you get on your bike. The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a moraine, formed during the Ice Age. This cycle route takes you past a number of country estates such as Buitenplaats De Hoogt, a beautiful estate with a castle. The castle was expanded in 1925 to the current building. Huis Molenbosch was designed by Zocher in 1849, as an alternative to the failed project on Henschoten. In front of the house there is now a statue of Miss Annie on a bicycle. It is not known exactly how old Moersbergen is, but despite numerous renovations it still has a medieval appearance. In the forest and in the places along the way you will come across nice places to have a drink!
